I am soon going to finish my PhD in philosophy of language at the Ruhr University Bochum. My PhD thesis is a closely connected collection of two linguistic, two philosophical and two interdisciplinary papers on the semantics of memory reports. At the same time, I have recently started a new position as a researcher at Masaryk University in Brno. There, I study the morpho-semantics of adverbial quantifiers (like ‘always’) cross-linguistically. The two topics are not as unrelated as you may think: How we represent parts of events and pluralities of events in language influences which attitudes towards them we attribute.
