Über mich

Current and upcoming

I have started a new position at the Masaryk University in Brno/Czech Republic in the OP JAK project "Language in Life" as part of group 2 with Marcin Wągiel a.o. After my defensio in Bochum, am going to do a postdoc on the typology of event quantification there. Thanks to my new colleagues for giving me a warm welcome!

We have archived the pre-proceedings of the ESSLLI 2025 student session here. We are happy to announce that, in addition, all papers that have been accepted to the student session have been invited to a special issue in the Journal of Logic, Language and Information. My co-editor for both collections is the amazing Valeria Gradimondo.

The collection 'Contemporary philosophy of Autism' (editors: Jami Anderson and Simon Cushing) can be ordered here now. It includes our chapter 'Masking as persona flexibility' - a pragmatic/sociolinguistic account of autistic communication, co-authored with Elin McCready.

I am going to organize the SORG again from November on, a semantics online reading group (only open for students and post-docs) on classic, foundational texts in formal semantics, based on this collection. We also have special squib sessions upon request, e.g. before submission deadlines. Send me an e-mail if you would like to be added to the invitees.

I am organizing a semi-regular online reading group on trans* linguistics and host the informal mailing list GeTLLI (genderqueer and trans in logic, language and information). Send me an e-mail if you would like to be added to the discord server or mailing list.
